Apple today launched the Find My iPhone and remote data-wipe services for its popular smartphone on MobileMe, the company's online file-sharing services that have been upgraded to the latest 3.0 software.
The latest iPhone 3G S is set for release on June 19 that is just after 24 hours. The new feature Find My IPhone for MobileMe subscribers will enable them to find their lost phone and to send a message or alert to the device that will play even if the smartphone is in silent mode. If the phone somehow can't be discovered, then the owner can use MobileMe to remotely delete all the data. The deletion can be undone if the owner later recovers the iPhone.
