Google Operating System - Mission Microsoft

Google officially announced a much speculated OS and Google has named it Google Chrome OS which will be available to the Netbooks very soon.

This move from Google is again another step ahead into the killing competition between Google and Microsoft. It is to really notice that the announcement of Google Chrome OS has just come before the official launch of Windows 7, Microsoft's latest OS.

Google Chrome Operating System is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at Netbooks. Later this year Google will distribute the source-code for netbooks running Google Chrome OS.

Google has already launched Mobile Operating System named Android earlier this year. Android and Google Chrome OS are a bit different comparatively. Google says in its official blog, "Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google."

Now it will be really interesting to see how seriously Steve Ballmer and Co. take the Google Chrome OS. It will be really a concern and matter to worry about for Microsoft as Google is continuously entering with impact into all the segments which Microsoft is involved. Google's ambitions are seem to be clear. Google is moving ahead to dominate the internet and computer world. Let's wait and watch!!
