Window 7 - A big disaster ???

Window 7 can be a disaster and may prove a Big Failure for Microsoft. A recent survey has got the results that 6 out of 10 companies doesn't want Windows 7. They are not at all interested to purchase Windows 7 either because of compatibility issue with their existing applications.

Windows Vista has also become a big failure for Microsoft and that was the reason Microsoft came up speedily with Windows 7. Now based on this survey, it seems that Microsoft will have tough time selling its latest OS especially in this tough global economic situation.

ScriptLogic Corp - Microsoft Network solution provider, sent out this survey to approx. 20,000 IT administrators to find out about their choices.

The survey found about 60 percent of those surveyed have no plans to deploy Windows 7, 34 percent will deploy it by the end of 2010 and only 5.4 percent will deploy by year's end.

Forty-two percent said their biggest reason for avoiding Windows 7 was a "lack of time and resources."

That dovetailed with another part of the survey, which found that 35 percent had already skipped upgrades or delayed purchases to save money.

But there were reasons other than money for staying away from Windows 7. Another 39 percent of those surveyed said they had concern about the compatibility of Windows 7 with existing applications.
