A U.S.-based language monitoring group announced Web 2.0 as the one millionth word or phrase in the English language on Wednesday which has been criticized much across the language world.
The Global Language Monitor using math formula to track the frequency of words and phrases in print and electronic media recorded Web 2.0 over 25,000 times in searches.
The other words and phrase included in the race were "Jai Ho!" an Indian exclamation signifying victory or accomplishment, and "slumdog," which both became popular by Oscar-winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire."
