Windows 7 - It's Coming, but what is new in that???

Microsoft has already released the Windows 7 RC. The first version of Windows 7 is rolling out on 22 October 2009.

After looking at few screen shots and few videos, at a first view it seems, Microsoft has not yet come out from a mentality of Physical and Cosmetic outlook of its products. It seems Microsoft is still living in the era of Desktop Wallpapers, Themes and Screensavers. Rather focusing on features, it has more emphasized on the look of the Windows 7. What Vista had, Windows 7 has something more than that. But not in terms of features, but in terms of cosmetic changes.

It felt after the release of Bing, Microsoft has really advanced itself into providing feature oriented products, but after seeing Windows 7 it seems to be a myth.

Microsoft is claiming that Windows 7 is faster, reliable and more secure than its older versions. However, most of the features are reminding me of Vista and even few of XP.

One of the few features, which I feel are considerable in Windows 7, is Paint. After many years, at last, Microsoft has upgraded the MS Paint application with little more features inside it.

More or less, it seems, Windows 7 is again an Old Wine in a New Bottle.
